Day 16- Tale as Old as Time

January 26th's theme was Time...
yes i know that "tale as old as time" is from the movie beauty && the beast...
I took a picture of a very old watch of mine..well I think it is actually my mother's. Now it's not like super dooper old but it's from when I was younger so that is why I classified it as old. Both of them are pretty close up. The top picture is just simple of it in black && white but with a black border && the bottom picture is cropped even closer && done with and HDR effect.
The reason I chose the title I did is because well for one thing is is a Disney movie && also because you can see all the scratches that is on the face of the watch showing what is has been through.

Day 15- Look, Don't Touch

I LOVE OREOS! They are my goto snack when I am down in the dumps or I just need an awesome yummy treat :) However, don't touch my oreos! Seriously! My mom even buys separate packages that's how serious I am about others not touching my oreos.

So to achieve this theme...I have no clue where any barb wire is around here so that's when I thought of oreos. I used my little brothers lego man to help portray the image of "don't touch" since he is holding a gun! I'm pushing my creativity..so i'm quite proud even though I can do better!

Day 14- Love is . . .

Okie dokie so Marvin is officially state side again so now we can start having set themes && i'm not just winging it! I have a number list of random themes && since he is in California I let him pick a number && what number he picks is the theme for the next day...if you don't get it that's ok because we do!

Today's theme is "Love is..." now in Virginia Beach it is awfully cold && i'm still currently under the weather so i'm sooo fighting going outside to capture pictures BUT I have always wanted to do this kind of shot so since it fit with the theme I did it very quickly! I didn't do much editing to this picture other than lower the levels of contrast on photoshop to give it that more of a settle look.

Day 13- Sepia

My mom && I went out to Smithfield to visit friends of hers that lived on our road when I was younger. I fell in love with the little town...so I will surely be going back when it's warmer haha because it is just too cold to be out taking pictures these days!!! But I snapped this shot as we were leaving the house for dinner. So it's a sunset && I just added a sepia tone effect to it. I absolutely love it. I wish I would have had my UV filter with me so I could get a shot && see the difference so now I surely have another goal set!

Day 12- Friday Night

This is really January 21, 2011 post.
Anybody that knows me...knows i'm a SUPERMAN FREAK :) I own all Superman movies by Christopher Reeve, Superman Returns && of course all 9 seasons of Smallville! The reason I titled this Friday Night is because Smallville shows on friday nights at 8:00 p.m. on the cw...even though it doesn't start back up till next friday! Sooo this is my collection of Superman related films :) very proud even though I have A LOT more Superman things around my room! haha. Yes I am a little kid still!

Day 11- Glare

I'm starting to come down with something && I've been sleeping pretty much all day long other than when I had class this morning. So I resulted into a last minute shot. Glare. Pretty self explanatory. To explain what the picture is...it is of my MVP Offense Award for soccer! I love soccer. It's my passion. I was pretty great with of course my flaws..getting injured. I haven't played in almost 3 years. It sucks. BUT I will make it back on that field && play another game!

Day 10- Interior

Today I just had lack of inspiration to go out && take a picture of something. Wednesdays aka HUMP DAY I'm awfully busy with classes so I teeter totter between class, food, naps && relaxation! haha. I broke my memory card too today so that just added to my chaotic day! Anyhoo...I've seen many pictures similar to this...even though this surely did not come out as I thought it would. I labeled this interior because..
a. it's inside my car
b. i could not figure out the name of what this is called for the life of me!

i need inspiration...or gas to get out && go shoot randomness!

Day 9- Before . . .

Yesterday I was sick && remained on the couch all day so I didn't feel up to taking a picture. Pretty much felt the same way today but I had class && then instead of sleeping the day away like usual I starting taking on the task of cleaning my room. This isn't truly the BEFORE shot because I had already put away my clothes before I thought of using this as my picture so I wouldn't fall behind.
Welcome to my room...it needs serious cleaning...not like SERIOUS but ya know..it just needs to be cleaning. I'm in the middle of redoing it..so I have stuff I need to find places for && surely need to get rid of some stuff.

Day 8- Rustic

Today's shot was kinda just random. I have been in my pajamas all day not wanting to do anything due to another stubborn migraine. As I let the dogs out to go to the bathroom I decided instead of taking shots of them I would venture around my yard to see what I have to take pictures of && then BAM there was the bench that I had walked by plenty of times. I was going to title this as a bench shot but I like it more for it's rustic feel.

Day 7- Bokeh..attempt 1

This is actually the shot for January 15, 2011 ... got caught up in football yesterday && forgot to post my picture. BUT this is my first attempt at bokeh [out of focus parts of the image] I guess if I really look at the definition I've had shots with this element in it even though I didn't know it had a term other than out of focus.
These are Christmas lights that I have hanging up in my room..yes all year long.

Day 6- Something You Did Today

Tonight I went to Salem's swim meet against Landstown! I really do enjoy going to these meets, not only because I have endless photo opportunities [even though it surely is challenging to get the perfect shot] but because I love swimming [yes I was a swimmer..gave it up for soccer] && of course my loves that swim :)
This shot is of a teammate [Sydney Ruloph] cheering on her teammate [Kyndall Peterson] who is currently competing in the 200 IM.
Top...I did nothing to which just rocks my socks!
Bottom..added an effect that made the picture just so much more cooler!

Day 5- Worms Eye View

Meet Fluffy. An incredibly, sweet dog! Watched Simba && her this week. She's sooo lovable && played more with Lindie's toy than Lindie has in the past 10 years!! My backyard is covered with leaves && sticks which she absolutely loved messing with so as she was playing with the sticks I rested my camera on the ground && snapped some shots. I love the out of focus leaves that are up close to the camera && even the unfocused blade of grass!

Day 4- Black && White

This is a picture of Simba..he is not my dog but one my family && I are watching. He's a gentle soul && this picture surely shows it! I rarely do black && white pictures but I think this one turned out great. 

I realize I am a day off.

Day 3- Lunch

Went to Panera Bread for lunch today with the parental units. As usual I got the pick 2: greek salad && broccoli cheddar soup with french baguette! If you haven't been there...you are simply crazy. Food is amazing especially this specific order! Got my momma hooked on it too. :)

Day 2- View Outside Window on a Snowy Day

Today it snowed..again in Virginia Beach. Luckily it wasn't for long && it wasn't as much as we had for Christmas. The image is of a tree in my backward right after it finished snowing && I tweaked it with HDR effects [which I have never used before...not sure if I'm a fan of it or not]

Day 1-Pages

Day 1- I've always wanted to have a picture like this. This is my bible (1 Corinthians 13) all about love of course && I decided to use my promise ring well because I believe it goes perfectly with the message && the image it creates on the pages! 

[ My BBFF Marvin && I are taking on the task of a 365 photo project and well we have surely slacked with missing the first 6 days of 2011!!! But have no fear I got my camera off of sleep mode && tried out some new things! Surely need a macro lens for this picture though but i gave it a shot! Improvement shall come. ]
